James Boothby Burke Roche, 3rd Baron Fermoy (28 July 1851-30 October 1920) was the son of Edmund Burke Roche, 1st Baron Fermoy and Elizabeth Caroline Boothby. He married Frances Ellen Work, daughter of Frank M. Work and Ellen Wood, on 22 September 1880 and they divorced in 1891. Lord Fermoy graduated Trinity College, Cambridge with a Master of Arts degree and was MP for East Kerry 1896-1900. He succeeded his brother as 3rd Baron Fermoy on 1 September 1920.
